A Breath of Fresh Air
by Aaron Terry
I feel like I'm inhaling a deep breath of fresh air
Whenever comes the chance for me to spend time with you.
What the rest of the world does, girl I don't even seem to care.
My focus in on but one place; my reality reduced to us two.
Oh what a wondrous feeling of content
I experience when I look deep into your eyes.
My soul refreshed and away all my troubles are sent.
In my thoughts remain but you, on which my heart does so thrive.
I look forward to the times when we simply conversate.
And my mind hangs on your every word whenever we do.
To discover more about you, now for that I cannot wait;
To learn what makes you happy and to know your experiences, too.
But then comes the time when our moments together are done.
We pull close together for a hug and parting words we do share.
My reality returns and back to me all my worries do run
But thoughts of you sustain me until my next breath of fresh air.
